At around the first of the New Year, my home was broken into on Slabtown Road, Mount Savage. My car and some other personal belongings were stolen while I was sleeping.
Deputy Simpson was called and handled the case from beginning to end. My car was found and located on Allegany Street in Frostburg. A gentleman by the name of Tom Pierce found my stolen wallet and called the deputy sheriff who located my car just four days after it was stolen.
Deputy Simpson personally came to my home to tell me my car had been found. I realize that this could have been done by a simple phone call. However, he had the courtesy to let me know personally, which I greatly appreciate.
If I had my way I would have him nominated for Deputy Sheriff of the Year at the Sheriff’s Office. This helped create a great faith in the local sheriff’s department for me.
I want everyone to know that I don’t hate the people who stole from me, and I feel sorry that they have to resort to breaking and entering the home of others.
I do not wish any ill will towards those who stole from me and do not want the Lord to punish them. However, I would hope that He would give them an opportunity for salvation in Christ.
I still believe that even though these crimes happen, that there are still many great people in our nation, whom are law-abiding citizens. Again, I want to thank anyone else involved in this investigation.
