CUMBERLAND — More than 18,000 electricity customers are still without power today in Garrett County, according to the Maryland Office of Emergency Management.
In a 10 a.m. posting, the office said 79.3 percent (18,134) of Garrett customers were still awaiting service restoration.
In Allegany County, 4,233, or 12.1 percent, of customers are still out of power.
Washington County is in much better shape, with 1,365 customers — 2.7 percent — still needing power restoration.
Outages throughout the region began Monday as the remnants of Hurricane Sandy swept through.
