  • Bill Kyle sets new year high by collecting a 844/287

    Bill Kyle had the hot hand in Wilson’s Monday Men’s League, starting with a 279 game, then following with a 278 and finishing it off with a 287 for an 844 total.

    Cary Lowery rolled a 300 game and a 289 game in his 805 set at The Bowler and he was one of the two top area scorers for the week.

    Rick Fetters, in The Bowler’s Harmony League, scored 703/298 and will receive an award from USBC for the 298 game and his 11 strikes in a row.

    Buck Lease rolled a perfect game in the Appalachian Mixed League at The Bowler, scoring 716/300.
    The area’s top bowler for the week was Rodney Helsley, who rolled 752/268. Lease was next high, bowling a 729/256 in addition to his 716/300.

    Wilson’s Tim Parsons bowled his first perfect game, scoring 683/300.

    Wilson Lanes’ Bob Greene bowled three 700’s during the week including the area’s top score of 780/276. Joe Shoemaker was next at that center rolling 773/244.

  • Near-perfect 299’s by Pryor, Fatkin, Kesner

    A number of big games were rolled during the week including three 299’s, a 290, two 289’s, a 286 and two 280’s.
    Cary Lowery rolled 768/268 at The Bowler and was the area’s top-scoring bowler for the week. Bill Lotz’s 758/279 was next, followed by Paul Pryor’s 756/299. Ron Fatkin scored a 299 game in his 679 set and Travis Walters posted a 280 game in his 675 set.

    Dave Yates rolled 747/270 at The Bowler and claims week’s top area bowling honors. Kevin Trowbridge was next high scoring 742/279 in the Harmony League.
