Wolford bowls week’s best set

John Wolford rolled 756/276 in The Bowler’s County League and was the area’s top bowler for the week. Tom Fairgrieve was next scoring 721/278. Steve Shook in the Tuesday Strikers League bowled a 284 game in his 702 set.

At Wilson Lanes, Rodney Kesner’s 723/269 led that center’s scoring. Bob Greene was next rolling 721/248.

Jeremiah Howsare was the top bowler at White Oaks scoring 715/256. Mike Brobst and Mike Sipple were next high each rolling identical scores of 709/258.

The Sherwood scoring list shows J.R. Monahan at the top bowling 711/251 followed by Jeremiah McKenzie rolling 696/234.

Bobby Lannon’s 677/278 was the high score for the week at Rainbow Lanes. Steve Zirk was next bowling 663/227.

In the PBA Experience League at White Oaks, Chad Gable was highest rolling 623/232. Mike Brobst and Lou Spataro were next scoring 619/255 and 618/235, respectively.

Crystal Uhl was the area’s top lady bowler for the week scoring 655/246 at The Bowler. Dawn House was next rolling 617/224.

Melissa Snyder bowled 625/226 at Wilson Lanes. Monica Myers was next rolling 556/229.

Michele Hitchens scored 612/221 at White Oak Lanes. Samantha King was next rolling 559/198.

Bernice Tichnell and Caryl Becker were the top ladies at Rainbow Lanes. Tichnell scored 572/194 and Becker rolled 558/203.

Wendy Atkinson rolled 518/213 at Sherwood Lanes.

Senior Jack Klosterman scored 653/244 in the AARP League at The Bowler. Toni Myers rolled 500/169 at White Oak Lanes.

Lyle Bennett was the area’s top youth bowler for the week rolling 601/213 at The Bowler. Ben Russell bowled 592/225 at Sherwood and Charles Abernathy rolled 525/192 at Rainbow.

The Western MD USBC Directors will be meeting Sunday, Jan. 3, at White Oaks starting at 2 p.m. Interested bowlers are welcome.

The Youth Championship Tournament will be held at The Bowler on January 9-10 & 16-17, 2010. Entry forms should be available at all local bowling centers. Also the youth in the High School bowling programs are having a Baker format tournament at White Oaks Monday.

Teams will consist of two girls and three boys with each member bowling only two frames in each of three games.
