Alex Shirey bowled a perfect game in his 647 set at White Oak Lanes on Sept. 23 in the Wednesday night Industrial League.
Joe Mullenax in the Industrial League at White Oaks bowled the top score for the week. Mullenax’s 783/279 tops the list of more big numbers from that center. Jeremiah Howsare followed, rolling 743/277, then Jim Helminiak scoring a big 296 game and 733 set. Bill Patch and Adam Blackburn also scored 700s.
Clay Corbin was highest at Wilson Lanes. Corbin’s 733/289 was followed by Bob Greene’s 730/258. Punkin Oates bowled 728/257 and three others scored 700s as well.
Darren Durbin and Travis Walters set the week’s top scores at The Bowler. Durbin bowled 703/236 followed by Walters at 702/256. Corey Shirey was next high, scoring 688/257.
At Rainbow Lanes, Bobby Lannon was highest bowling 697/255. C.P. Sines and Nelson Guerin followed, both rolling 661 sets. Sines high game was a 243 and Guerin’s was 237. Steve Capaldi scored 659/245.
In the PBA Experience League at White Oaks, Mike Brobst led the scoring by posting 664/246. Bobby Lannon and Mike Oyer were next, rolling 642/233 and 634/228, respectively.
Dawn House was the top lady bowler for the week scoring 650/256 in the Tuesday Strikers League at The Bowler. In that series, which I witnessed, she posted strikes in the last five frames of the first game in the match and then threw strikes in the first seven frames of the second game — 12 in a row! Great bowling! Mary Ann Schry followed Dawn with a 527 set.
Dee Self was highest of the Rainbow ladies bowling 618/232. Lou Dille was next high scoring 540/195.
The Wilson Lanes’ top lady was Monica Myers bowling 576/223. Kim Hannas was next rolling 541/196.
At White Oak Lanes, Samantha King scored 559/198 and was that center’s top lady for the week. Michele Hitchens was next rolling 542/191. Vivian Helsley two pins back scoring 540/213.
Ray Foster was the top senior again for the week scoring 607/222 at The Bowler. Arlene Fatkin rolled 523/206. Senior Brad Deter bowled 585/206 at White Oak Lanes.Tanner Smith was the top youth bowler for the week bowling 618/224 at White Oaks. Mystie Benson rolled 566/206 also at White Oaks. Charles Abernathy bowled 574/209 at Rainbow. Danny Walch rolled 552/215 at The Bowler and youth; Nick Ward scored 534/202 at Wilson Lanes.
Bowling scores will continue to improve when weather conditions become more consistent and Of course, we continue to practice on those things that we know need help, like spare shooting. Good luck bowling and have fun striking out!

Lucien Paxton near perfect
Rainbow’s Lucien Paxton rolled a near perfect game scoring 695/299 in Tuesday’s Mixed League. He also bowled a 727/247 in the Men’s Civic League.
The area’s top bowler for the week was Rafael Clifford who posted 792/279. Clifford’s average is 178 and he missed an 800 set by only eight pins. Next high at White Oaks was Jack Hendershot’s 730/267. -
Shirey misses 800 set by a pin
Alex Shirey rolled big numbers for the week’s high in the area. Shirey scored 799/277 in White Oak’s Industrial League. A.J. Rice was next rolling 783/269. Rice is one of the best local two-handed bowlers that I know of.

Rob Shroyer bowled a near perfect 299 game and 707 set in White Oaks’ Tuesday Night Mixed League.

Kaylor rolls 289 game, 759 series
Keefe Kaylor rolled a big 289 game and 759 set at The Bowler to lead all area bowlers for the week. Kaylor’s score topped the list of eight 700’s at that center. Chad Taylor’s 733/251 was next high.

Sines & Simpson perfect at Rainbow
C.P. Sines and Todd Simpson both bowled perfect games in Rainbow’s Men’s Civic League. Sines was Rainbow’s top bowler for the week with a 766 set. Simpson scored 720/300. Rich Baker with a big score rolling 744/666.

Bob Greene’s 816 leads area
Bob Greene bowled a near-perfect 299 game and an 816 set at Wilson Lanes and was highest of the local area bowlers for the week. Scott Hixenbaugh was next high at Wilson, scoring 746/267. Clay Corbin rolled a big 290 game in his 707 set.
At The Bowler, Dave Yates set the week’s top mark, scoring 766/278. Tim Yutzy was next, rolling 715/269. -

Sinclair Dudley III rolled a perfect game and 781 set in Rainbow’s Men’s Civic League. Another perfect game scored at that center after skipping a week.
Chad Gable continues his hot streak at White Oaks. This week he had the area’s top score, bowling 821/279. Bobby Benton was next high at White Oaks rolling 727/279. -

Corey Shirey rolled a perfect game and a set total of 785 at The Bowler in the Friday Night County League. Derek Yates scored exactly the same 785/300 in Rainbow’s Civic League. Both of these bowlers have rolled previous 300’s.

Corbin rolls highest set, game of week
Clay Corbin was close to a perfect game, scoring 777/298 at Wilson Lanes, which was the week’s high for area bowlers. Craig Davis was next high at that center, rolling 768/279. Tommy McDonald bowled a 290 game in his 691 set.
