Lannon’s 783 series tops in area

Bobby Lannon bowled 783/277 in the Industrial League at White Oak Lanes and was the area’s top bowler for the week. Troy Smith followed rolling 729/258. Tommy McDonald scored a big 286 game in his 702 set.

Craig Davis was highest of the Wilson Lanes bowlers scoring 761/279. Bill Kyle was next, bowling 756/267.

At Rainbow Lanes, C.P. Sines was highest rolling 738/278. Steve Capaldi was next high scoring 674/248.

Dave Yates was The Bowler’s top bowler, rolling 722/246. Troy Smith’s 707/247 was next high. Ron Fatkin in the ABL Mixed League scored a big 289 game.

Quintin Guthrie also rolled a 289 game in a 721 set that was Par-Matt’s high for the week. Tim Chapman’s 658/258 was next.

The top bowlers in White Oaks’ PBA Experience League were Don Parsons, Derek Yates and Ben Narvaez. Parsons was highest rolling 629/231, followed by Yates at 625/247, and Narvaez at 606/218.

Felicia Deremer bowled 622/257 at White Oak Lanes and was the area’s top lady bowler. Michele Hitchens was next at that center rolling 601/223.

Crystal Uhl scored 612/236 at The Bowler for that center’s top lady. Charlene Lelinski’s 552/199 was next high.

Lou Dille and Sandy Hott were the highest scoring ladies at Rainbow Lanes. Dille rolled 580/210 and Hott scored 560/194.

Melissa Snyder’s 560/211 and Monica Myers’ 543/224 were Wilson’s top lady bowlers for the week.

At Par-Matt Lanes, Billie Jo Baker rolled a 551 set for the ladies’ high. Nancy Glotfelty was next scoring a 540 set.

Alice Monahan bowled 532/224 at Sherwood Lanes.

Ray Foster was the area’s top senior, posting a 676/245 score at The Bowler. Senior Gary Friend rolled a 566 series at Par-Matt Lanes and Toni Myers scored 518/182 for the Golden Age Seniors at White Oak Lanes.

Youth bowler Amanda Greene scored 672/268 at Wilson Lanes. Tanner Smith rolled 640/246 at White Oaks. Charles Abernathy bowled 564/209 at Rainbow and Alex Folmer rolled 554/206 at The Bowler.

There are more youth tournaments in the near future. The High Average Tournament will be this Sunday at White Oak Lanes. In this tourney, the 10 top average boys and 10 top average girls will bowl five games scratch across five different lane pairs. The top two finishers in each division (boys and girls) will advance to state finals.

The State Youth Pepsi tournament will be held at White Oaks on March 28-29. This tournament will bring in many out-of-town people to the area so prepare for crowds at this one.
