Bowling scores have been somewhat erratic during the last several weeks. I’m sure much of that can be blamed on the changing weather. When the temperature gets several degrees below freezing, bowling centers have a big area to heat and the circulation of the heated air affects lane oil breakdown. It is very obvious in some centers where the lanes nearest the outside wall dries out much quicker than the other lanes.

The cold also causes a few more aches and joint pains than normal so it takes longer to warm up and feel comfortable with your delivery. When snow is involved there are other problems. Wet areas on the floor or carpet can cause some serious falls during delivery.

The weather brings several things to be concerned about.

Good luck bowling and have fun striking out!
