ACCIDENT — Audrey Eisentrout and Taryn Brenneman fired dueling one-hitters with the top-ranked Campers coming a way with an unearned run in the sixth inning that lifted them to a 1-0 win over Northern in an Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference game on Saturday.
Eisentrout finished the evening with seven strikeouts, and Brenneman had six. Brenneman had Northern’s only hit.
Bethany Landis had a single for Allegany’s only hit. The Campers scored the run in the sixth inning with the help of four Northern errors.
Allegany (13-1, 11-1 AMAC) will host Mountain Ridge at 4:30 today.

GRANTSVILLE — Taryn Brenneman tossed a three-hitter and struck out 11 in leading Northern past county rival Southern.
The Huskies scored twice in the first inning, and added one run in the fourth and another in the sixth. Miranda Beasom had a RBI single for the Huskies.
For Southern, Alycia Horner had two singles. She was tagged the the loss despite a four-hitter with six strikeouts.
Northern and Salisbury combined to score 19 runs on just four hits in as the Huskies lost 10-9 to Salisbury on Friday evening.
Brenneman had a strong showing with 14 strikeouts in six innings of relief. A. Thomas got the win with a two-hitter for the Elks.
The teams were able to score the 19 runs using a combined total of 17 errors.
Northern (3-7, 3-6 AMAC) hosts Fort Hill today. Southern falls to 2-9 and 2-8 AMAC.
