KEYSER, W.Va. — Frankfort scored two unearned runs in the first inning and pitchers Jennifer Pyles and Allie Lantz, who relieved in the fifth, held Keyser to six hits in a 3-1 victory in an Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference game Friday at Keyser.
In the top of the first, Frankfort’s Savannah Hose and Taylor Rice singled, with both scoring on a throwing error to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead.
For Keyser, Brooke Mangold led off the bottom of the first with a triple and scored the Golden Tornado’s only run on a Megan Anderson single.
Jessica Jenkins then produced an RBI single in the top of the second inning for the Falcons’ only earned run and the eventual final of 3-1. Hose had two of Frankfort’s six hits.
Anderson had six strikeouts for Keyser, going the complete game.
Frankfort (7-8 overall, 4-5 AMAC) plays at Southern on Tuesday. Keyser (6-8, 3-6) hosts two today against Berkeley Springs.

Moorefield 4
PETERSBURG, W.Va. — After Moorefield rallied for four runs in the top of the seventh to take a 4-3 lead, thanks to three consecutive hits to start the inning, fifth-ranked Petersburg answered with two runs in the bottom half of the seventh to win the game Friday at Petersburg.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Vikings had a bases-loaded, two-out situation before freshman Melissa Sharp singled in two runs to tie and win the game, with winning pitcher Whitney Lough scoring the winning run.
Sharp finished the game with three hits: the two-run game-winner, an RBI double, and a single. Celeste Bradley also knocked in a run for the Jackets with a single.
Daniel, Markwood, Elmore and Stickley all had RBI singles in the top of the seventh for Moorefield, with Stickley bringing in the go-ahead run at the time for the Jackets .
Petersburg (11-7) will play a noon doubleheader today at Grafton. Moorefield (5-12) hosts Hampshire Monday.
