CUMBERLAND — Hayley Stankan and Audrey Eisentrout teamed for their second no-hitter in four days and top-ranked Allegany clinched at least a share of the Cumberland City League softball championship with a 17-0 victory over Bishop Walsh Thursday at Carl Belt Field.
Stankan, who no-hit Fort Hill in an earlier City game, had combined with Eisentrout for a seven-inning no-hitter against Keyser on Monday.
Thursday afternoon, Stankan tossed the first three innings, struck out seven and did not walk a batter in getting the win. Eisentrout pitched the final two innings, striking out three and walking one. The game was shortened to 4 1/2 innings by the mercy rule.
The Campers (11-1, 3-0 City, 9-1 AMAC) scored eight runs in the first inning and led 14-0 after two.
Bethany Landis had a double and two singles and an RBI, Katie Alkire smacked a double and a single and had two RBIs, and Hilary Lyons had two singles and an RBI.
Bishop Walsh (1-8, 0-3, 0-7) visits Maryland Deaf today at 4:30 while Allegany plays again Monday, at Frankfort, at 4.

OAKLAND — Spotted with a 6-0 lead in the top of the first inning, freshman Taryn Brenneman fired a no-hitter to lead visiting Northern over Southern.
Brenneman struck out eight and walked one in getting the complete-game victory.
Northern (2-4 overall, 2-4 AMAC) had six hits. Laura Schroyer had two singles and Katy Umbel, Kara Savage, Kaitlynn Fratz and Brenneman each had a base hit.
The Huskies scored two runs in the fifth inning and one in the seventh.
Southern (2-4, 2-3) hosts Hampshire Saturday at noon. Northern hosts Mountain Ridge today at Grantsville Park beginning at 4 p.m.

FROSTBURG — Kelsey Robertson fired a two-hit shutout and Keri Bean and Miranda Nicol knocked in a pair of runs to send third-ranked Mountain Ridge past Hampshire at Mt. Pleasant Field.
Robertson, staked to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, was in control from the start. She allowed just two singles while striking out nine and not walking a batter.
Nicol doubled and singled, and Bean and Taylor Llewellyn had two singles for the Miners (7-1 overall, 7-1 AMAC).
Bean and Nicol had RBI singles in the first inning, and the score remained 2-0 until the fifth when the Miners scored three times. Stephanie Fazenbaker walked and scored on a throwing error for the first run. McGinnis singled and scored on a single by Bean, and Nicol doubled home Bean to make it 5-0.
Logan Sonner and Dana Veach singled for Hampshire (4-9, 2-5).
Mountain Ridge plays Northern today, at 4 o’clock, at Grantsville Park. Hampshire visits Southern on Saturday at noon.
Broadway 12
No. 4 East Hardy 9
BAKER, W.Va. — Down 7-6 through six innings, Broadway erupted for six runs in the top of the seventh, and the Virginians went on to beat East Hardy in a non-conference game.
Broadway got eight of their 17 hits in the final inning, with all eight being singles.
Lindsey Basye hit a three-run homer, a double and single to drive in five runs for East Hardy (7-2). Molly Look had a pair of doubles. Tara Brown homered for Broadway.
The Cougars play Frankfort today, at 4 o’clock, in their opening round game of the Bub Riggleman Tournament at Moorefield.

FROSTBURG — Amber Ravenscroft belted two doubles and a single and knocked in two runs to lead Mountain Ridge past Hampshire in junior varsity softball.
Shayna Stowell smacked a double and single and chased home three runs. Maggie Wilson went the distance for the win, scattering five hits and striking out six.
Autumn Chaney had two singles for Hampshire.
Mountain Ridge (6-2) plays at Northern today. Hampshire visits Southern on Saturday.

CRESAPTOWN — Emily Hedrick tripled and singled and Taylor Dudiak doubled to help power Allegany past Keyser in junior varsity softball on Monday.
Miranda Shank, Alexa Sivic, Lindsie Linaberg and winning pitcher Emily Van Meter added two singles to Alco’s 14-hit attack.
Kaitlin Haupt hit a two-run double and A. Curran had two singles for Keyser.
