East Hardy overpowers Pocahontas

DUNMORE, W.Va. — Molly Look and Jessica Collier tossed one-hitters and East Hardy scored in all but one inning in 14-0, 20-0 wins over Pocahontas County in high school softball on Saturday.

Look allowed only one hit, walked one and struck out 10 in the five-inning first game.

Emily Biller hit a two-run homer and an RBI double, and Lauren Orndorff had two singles and four RBIs to lead a 13-hit East Hardy attack.

The Cougars scored 18 runs in the second inning of the second game, which was shortened to three innings.

Biller and Lindsey Basye had a double and two RBIs for East Hardy, which received 17 bases on balls.

The Cougars (4-0) host Tucker County in a 5 p.m. twinbill today.
