CUMBERLAND — Sophomore Audrey Eisentrout pitched a five-inning no-hitter on Saturday as undefeated Allegany blanked Somerset, 10-0, in the Campers’ first game of the F Club Classic at Flynn Field.
Eisentrout’s batterymate Haylie Harper hit two home runs on the day, the first a three-run homer in the third inning of the first game; the second, a three-run homer in the Campers’ 22-0 four-inning win over Hollidaysburg in the second game.
In the opener, Eisentrout struck out four Somerset hitters and walked one, and another Somerset runner reached on an Alco error. For the Campers, it was the second no-hitter of the season as Hayley Stankan no-hit Fort Hill, 2-0, on Monday.
“Audrey was in control the whole game,” said Allegany coach Rick Twigg. “She threw very well. They didn’t get a ball out of the infield. She threw well; we hit well.”
Jenna Mathews doubled, singled twice and knocked in three runs for the Campers, while Katie Alkire singled three times, and Bethany Landis had two singles.
In the second game, Stankan pitched a four-inning one-hitter, getting all but one out on strikeouts, finishing with 11 for the day.
Along with her home run, Harper also doubled and singled and finished with four RBIs. Mathews continued her big day with a three-run homer, a double and four RBIs.
Hilary Lyons had two doubles, a single and two RBIs, Bethany Landis tripled, doubled and singled to knock in a run, Beth Szymanski had three singles and an RBI, Katie Alkire had three singles, and Taran Rosenberger and Estee HIxon two singles.
Allegany (7-0) plays Tuesday at BW.
Fort Hill pitchers hurl pair of one-hitters
CUMBERLAND — Outstanding pitching remained the standard for Fort Hill as the Sentinels got two one-hitters in a pair of wins in the F Club Classic at the Riverside Complex.
Shari Beavers threw a one-hitter in a 4-0 win over Somerset, and Cierra Miller had a one-hitter and converted every possible out by strikeout, for a total of 12, in a 15-0 win over Hollidaysburg in a shortened second game.
Beavers, who also had 12 strikeouts, hit a triple to drive in one run, while Olivia Stanley had two singles and an RBI. Becca Valentine and Adria Lewis added RBI singles.
Beavers hit a solo homer and a two-run single in the four-inning win over Hollidaysburg. Lauren Fansler had three singles and an RBI, and Kathryn Huber had a team-high four RBIs on three base hits.
Fort Hill (3-1) plays a doubleheader at Frankfort on Monday at 4 p.m.

FROSTBURG — Kelsey Robertson tossed a two-hit shutout and Taylor Llewellyn and Danielle McGinnis combined for four hits and five RBIs to lead Mountain Ridge over Frankfort at Mt. Pleasant Field.
Robertson struck out seven and did not walk a batter in her complete-game win. She was staked to a 5-0 lead after two innings.
Llewellyn ripped a pair of doubles and knocked in three runs, while McGinnis had a double, single and two runs batted in. Keri Bean added an RBI single.
Jasmine Morgan doubled and Taylor Rice singled to account for Frankfort’s hits.
Mountain Ridge (4-0 overall, 4-0 AMAC) hosts Southern on Tuesday at Glendening Field. Wednesday’s home game with Northern has been rescheduled for April 14.
Frankfort (3-4, 1-3) hosts Fort Hill on Monday.
Fort Hill jayvees win two
CUMBERLAND — Courtney Koelker tossed a no-hitter in the first game and Mariah James threw a two-hitter in the second as Fort Hill won a pair of games in the F Club Classic.
Koelker no-hit Somerset in a 10-0 win, and James got the win in a 14-1 victory over Southern. Both games went five innings.
Against Somerset, Koelker struck out six and walked only one in her no-hitter. James hit a solo home run, Alison McIntosh belted a triple, double and single, and Kayla Hutson singled three times to lead the offense. Koelker and Madie Wilson had two singles.
In the win over Southern, James struck out six and allowed only two singles. Samantha Frankenberry hit two doubles, Mary Valentine had a double and single and James and Wilson added two singles.
Fort Hill (4-0) plays at Frankfort on Monday in a 4 o’clock doubleheader.

FROSTBURG — Maggie Wilson had six strikeouts and held Frankfort at bay over the final innings as Mountain Ridge edged Frankfort in junior varsity softball.
The Miners tied the score 4-4 in the bottom of the fourth inning, and took a 6-4 lead in the fifth. Frankfort would get a run back, but the game was called after the sixth because of darkness.
Alexia Gallagher drove in a pair of runs with two doubles to lead Mountain Ridge at the plate.
Jordan Dunn hit a double and MacKenzie Rodoski hit two singles for Frankfort.
The Miners (4-0) will host Southern on Tuesday. Frankfort entertains Fort Hill in a doubleheader on Monday.
