OAKLAND — Alycia Horner threw three five innings of no-hit ball as Southern got the jump on Bishop Walsh and rolled to a 13-0 victory in an Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference game on Tuesday afternoon.
Horner finished with eight strikeouts and allowed three base runners with three walks. She aided her cause by getting a hit and scoring four runs.
Alya Fulmer had two hits and three runs scored, Shayna Sweitzer had one hit and three runs scored, and Lindsey Glotfelty doubled and scored two runs for the Rams.
Southern (1-0) visits Petersburg tonight.

KEYSER, W.Va. — Katie Alkire hit two doubles and a single and Allegany grabbed an early lead with five runs in the first inning and went on to blank Keyser in an AMAC game.
Alkire’s three hits led an 11-hit Alco attack. Jenna Mathews added a double and a single and Haylie Harper singled twice.
Brooke Mangold had two singles for Keyser.
Allegany’s Haley Stankan and Taryn Rosenberger combined for 13 strikeouts.
The Campers won the junior varsity game 11-0.
Allegany (2-0, 2-0 AMAC) hosts Hamphire and Keyser (1-1, 1-1) plays at Fort Hill on Thursday.

BROADWAY, Va. — Emily Biller hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning and added an RBI double to lead East Hardy over Broadway in the Cougars’ season opener on Monday.
Lindsey Basye pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits and one earned run while striking out five. At the plate, she hit two doubles and knocked in two runs. The Cougars had eight hits and took advantage of six bases on balls.
East Hardy will play at Petersburg on Friday.

CRESAPT0WN — The Allegany junior varsity defeated Northern Monday night, as Stephanie Dawson and Miranda Shank hit two-run doubles in the Campers’ seven-run fifth inning.
Chelsea Oleksik hit two doubles and knocked in four runs, and Alexa Sivic had two singles for Alco. Tabby Beasom tripled and singled, Whitney Miller double and singled, and Brittany Miller and Kiersten Butler singled twice for Northern.
