BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Maddie Shambaugh had 24 service points, 24 aces and 10 digs as Frankfort rolled to a 25-7, 25-10, 25-6 sweep of Berkeley Springs Thursday evening in high school volleyball.
Taylor Rice had 13 service points, eight aces and 18 assists, and Stephanie Bills added 10 points, 10 aces and eight kills for the Falcons (2-0).
The Frankfort jayvees won, 25-5 and 25-7 and, as a team, did not miss a serve the whole match.
Mikala Miller had 19 points and seven aces, while Stephanie Cornachia added 15 points, six aces and four kills.
The Falcons play again Saturday in the Oak Glen Tournament.
Wednesday night
Frankfort 3, Keyser 0
SHORT GAP, W.Va. — Stephanie Bills served for 17 points, had three aces and five blocks, while Taylor Rice had 22 assists, 10 service points and nine digs to lead Frankfort to a three-game sweep of Keyser in the season opener for both teams.
All three games were 25-11 scores.
Saydi Whiteman, Christina McCain and Katie Bush combined for 30 kills. Whiteman had 11 kills and nine digs, McCain added 10 kills and Bush had nine. Danielle Carter added 12 service points and three aces and Maddie Shambaugh had nine points, three aces and eight digs.
Frankfort won the jayvee match 25-11, 25-17 with Alexis Rice and Brittany Porter having 10 service points each.
