BAKER, W.Va. — Jamie Miller fired a four-hit shutout and Colby Foltz doubled and singled as East Hardy beat Pendleton County 5-0 in the Class A, Region 2 baseball semifinals Tuesday night.
East Hardy (25-8) will host Trinity Christian of Morgantown today, at 6:30, for the region championship and berth in the state tournament.
Miller, who also had an RBI double, walked only two and struck out six in a complete game victory.
Tyler Mongold had two RBIs and Shawn Skovron scored twice for the Cougars.
Mongold drove in Steven See with a sacrifice fly in the second inning to put East Hardy ahead 1-0.
In the fifth, Miller had an RBI double, Tyler Kerr an RBI single and Mongold a bases-loaded walk that made it 4-0. Foltz hit an RBI double in the sixth.
Brett Raines doubled for Pendleton County (18-13).
