CUMBERLAND — Seniors led the way one final time, fittingly, on Senior Day at Allegany.
Kelsey Knippenberg scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Kelly Baker had 13 points, eight rebounds, four steals and a pair of blocked shots in leading second-ranked Allegany to a 77-29 romp over Bishop Walsh Saturday in high school girls basketball.
It was the 18 straight City win for the league champion Campers, who have won the City championship five consecutive seasons. Their last City loss was in 2006 to Fort Hill when the Campers and Sentinels shared the league crown.
Allegany is now 13-4 overall, 4-0 in the City and 11-2 in the Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference.
Knippenberg and Baker are the Campers’ only seniors. Bailey Ellsworth added 10 points and Brooke Wharton had seven points and five assists.
Ashley Turnbull led Bishop Walsh (4-16, 0-3, 0-10) with nine points.
Allegany won the jayvee game 43-15. Alexis Sivic had 12 points for Allegany and Morgan Ruppenkamp and Becca Winner had six for BW.
The Campers close the regular season Tuesday at State College (Pa.). Bishop Walsh hosts Hancock Monday night.
Hampshire 52
Keyser 49
ROMNEY, W.Va. — Hampshire held a large advantage from the free throw line over Keyser to pull out a 3-point win and finish the season on a 3-game winning streak after losing the first 12 they played.
Lindsey Miller scored 10 points and Lyndsay Whetzel added nine to lead the Trojans in scoring. Hannah Carl also scored nine points. Eileen Heavener led the team with six rebounds.
Carley Grady and Megan Anderson scored 11 points for Keyser, while Brooke Mangold added 10.
The Trojans held a healthy edge in performance from the line by making 22-of-31. The Golden Tornado converted 10-of-28 from the foul line.
Keyser took a 12-7 lead in the first quarter, but saw Hampshire rally to take a 24-21 edge into halftime. The Trojans clung to a 32-31 lead heading into the fourth.
Hampshire collected a 54-50 win over Fort Hill on Friday evening behind a 19-point effort for Hollie Riggs. Riggs also had seven rebounds, and Miller gave the team another 17 points.
Fort Hill was led by Mariah James with 17 points, and got 11 from Destiny James.
Hampshire (3-12) will play in the West Virginia AAA Sectionals beginning Monday, 7 p.m., at Jefferson. Keyser (4-13) is at Berkeley Springs for its Class AA sectional playoffs, and Fort Hill (5-12) plays at Southern on Monday.

Calvary 20
HAGERSTOWN — Callie Butts and Bri Dorsey combined for 30 points and 15 steals to power top-seeded Heritage to a 34-point win over eighth-seeded Calvary in the opening round of the Mason-Dixon Christian Conference Tournament on Thursday.
Butts had a game-high 20 points and seven steals, while Dorsey had 10 points and eight steals. Rebekah Clark added eight points and five assists for Heritage (19-2).
Rae Heavner had eight points for Calvary (4-13).
East Hardy 64
Union 41
MOUNT STORM, W.Va. — Emily Biller scored 16 points, leading three East Hardy players in double figures, in sending East Hardy to a comfortable win over Union Saturday evening.
Biller’s 16 points was joined by Emily Beck’s 13 and Ashley Dove’s 12. No other Cougar managed to scored more than six. East Hardy built a 8-point advantage in the first period, and led 21-13 by the first horn. Halftime saw the lead stretched to 38-20 before growing to 52-31 by the end of the third.
Union got 13 points from Megan Kitzmiller, 12 from Montana Kitzmiller and 11 from Lynette Lockie.
Union concludes the season at 7-9 and faces Moorefield, at Moorefield, on Monday at 7 p.m. in the West Virginia A Sectional playoffs.

Hayley Stankan doubled, singled and batted in one run, and Allegany had to hold on in the top of the seventh to collect a 3-2 win over Hampshire Thursday in Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference action at Hampshire.

One nationally-ranked team made it through to the finals, while the highest nationally-ranked team of the two fell three points short as St. John’s College High School will face the Good Counsel Falcons in the championship game of the 17th Bishop Walsh Girls Invitational Tournament today, 6:15 p.m., at Bishop Walsh School.
