— STAMFORD, Conn. — Local actress and Angelina Jolie impersonator Tiffany Claus will appear on the “Maury” TV show Thursday at 10 a.m. on WJAL, an ABC network affiliate out of Washington.
Maury Povich, the host of the program, interviews Claus, of Frostburg, and other celebrity look-alikes. Claus has made a career out of impersonating Jolie and said she is mistaken every day of her life for the Hollywood megastar.
“Keep making movies, keep adopting babies, keep fighting with Brad, just keep it up,” she said she’d tell Jolie, whose fame has dictated her own success. Claus’ appearance has landed her gigs in movies, ma-gazines and reality television.
“Life has been good,” she said.
This is Claus’ third time appearing on “Maury.” During her first appearance, Claus caused chaos when she walked in front of paparazzi in Bryant Park during NY Fashion Week. Today, she continues to get the same public response.
When asked why she thinks Jolie is the center of tabloids, Claus said “she’s intriguing, she’s beautiful, and let’s face it, she’s kind of out there.”
Claus tells Povich she has yet to meet Jolie, but he asks if she would take advantage of the opportunity in the future.
“I’d love to,” said Claus. “I’d want to say thank you. Thank you for looking like me.”
The show also features guests who resemble Rihanna, Robert Pattinson, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Tiger Woods, David Letterman and Lil Wayne. Povich shows footage of the chaos that ensues when some of the look-alikes are walking around the streets of New York City.
