JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — The AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival is set for Aug. 6-8 with a strong lineup that includes Los Lobos, The Robert Cray Band, Galactic featuring Cyril Neville and Corey Henry (Rebirth), Anders Osborne, Los Straitjackets, Billy Price and Eilen Jewell.
The festival will feature three stages continually programmed. Music will run from 5:30 p.m. to midnight Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Saturday and 1:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday.
The event will take place in Johnstown’s new festival park near downtown. The parking is being developed by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association for the festival and other community events. Ample parking is available downtown.
JAHA is a nonprofit, membership-based organization formed to preserve and present Johnstown’s history and heritage. It operates the Johnstown Discovery Network, which includes the Johnstown Flood Museum and the Heritage Discovery Center, and the Wagner-Ritter House and Garden, as well as the new Johnstown Children’s Museum. The group also produces special events throughout the year, including the music festival, the Johnstown Film Festival and Last Friday at the Ethnic Social Club.
