Band Blitz expands to two days

CUMBERLAND — The 10th annual Band Blitz to benefit individuals served by the Abilities Network and Friends Aware has been expanded to two days this year — March 27 and 28 — and will feature the music of nearly 20 groups.

The fund-raiser will be held starting at 1 p.m. both days at the Cumberland Outdoor Club, 31 Thomas St., with proceeds to benefit individuals with development disabilities in the area.

Scheduled to perform are Charlie Kenny, Cramer Brothers with Tim Haines, KGD, Lady Invidia, Project 37, Public Menace, Relapse, ShakeDown Street, Social Grudge, Sonic Mule, Strangers with Candy, Surrender Dorothy, Takoma Park, The Limit, The Packing Peanuts, Time Flies and Tucker Hill Haze.

Tip jars, raffles and 50/50 drawings will be held and commemorative T-shirts and food will be available.
