‘Pirates Ahoy’ to set sail in Frostburg
Celebrated children’s author and illustrator Henry Cole will speak to children in his Pirate Den on Wednesday at 10 and 11 a.m. at the Palace Theater on Main Street in Frostburg, part of Frostburg’s “Pirates Ahoy.”
The first three pieces of a new sculpture garden in the Frostburg Arts and Entertainment District will be dedicated during a ceremony scheduled July 16 at 1 p.m.

Front & Centre Stage will once again offer its Lunatic Fringe one-act play series during the Friday After Five events this summer.
‘Take Two Kills’ featured aboard scenic railroad

Hot cars, old friends and plenty of music take center stage tonight during Downtown Cumberland’s Friday After 5. This week’s highlights include the annual Mustang car show, the Fort Hill Class of 1986 reunion, Bishop Walsh 1967-68 Football City Champions and four popular bands.
Cumberland Theatre hosting Gala Celebration, ‘Rent’ performance
The Cumberland Theatre will celebrate its 24th season of equity theater with a Gala Celebration on Friday. The event will feature wine and hors-d’oeuves at 7 p.m., a performance of the musical “Rent” at 8 p.m. and champagne and dessert following the show.

Frostburg Museum featuring work of Cincinnati artist
The Frostburg Museum will present Amalgamations, an exhibition by Bekka Sage from Cincinnati, through July 30. The museum will host a reception for the artist on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.
