Rockwood —
ROCKWOOD, Pa. — The Seldom Scene Players will present “Patsy and the Turkey’s Revenge” during a dinner theater Saturday at the Rockwood Mill Shoppes and Opera House, 450 W. Main St.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., with the play to follow the meal.
Sam McClintock, the author of the play, is among the performers that include Forrest Stark, Joan Whetsell, Michelle Byrd, Mario Graziani, Jay Best, Joyce Tressler, Valerie Stark, Kurt Miller, Jon Bontrager, Genie Younkin, Beth Augustine, Acasia Lytle, Rachel Phillippi, Tyler Byrd, Neil Bender, Brett Tressler and Todd Whetsell.
Scott Byrd is the sound and lighting technician.
A press release describes the play in this way: “This year’s offering brings us back to the village of Rarely Noticed, hometown of legendary vocalist Patsy Stein. All of the same residents are present, but former city council member Tommy Lucas has suffered a strange and debilitating injury and is no longer able to serve. He was replaced by local pig farmer Dan Nearbroke.
“The council decides that no changes in the format are necessary and the contest proceeds. However, it is soon interrupted by a small group of protesters. A squabble breaks out resulting in Tommy being inadvertently pushed to the floor, hitting his head. Miraculously, he is restored to his former self.”
