CUMBERLAND — Thomas and Diane Beem of Cumberland are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Kevin John Beem, to Katie Elizabeth Redmond, daughter of Martha Kagarise of Bedford, Pa. and Jim and Paula Redmond of New Paris, Pa.
Kevin is a 2000 graduate of Fort Hill High School and a 2004 graduate from Shepherd University. He is currently employed with United Cerebral Palsy in Cumberland and lives in Bedford. Kevin is the grandson of John Furstenberg and the late Helen “Bootie” Furstenberg.
Katie is a 2004 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and a 2008 graduate from Thiel College. She earned a master’s degree in education from St. Francis University this year and currently teaches at St. Thomas the Apostle School in Bedford.
Kevin and Katie will be married on Dec. 8, 2012, at Real Life Church in Bedford.
