WESTERNPORT — Together with their parents, Katie Marie Niland and Michael Ryan Shahan are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Katie is the daughter of Donnie and Isabel Niland, Westernport, and the granddaughter of Inez Niland, Piedmont, W.Va. Katie is a 2007 graduate of Westmar High School and graduated from West Virginia University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She is currently enrolled at the West Virginia University College of Law and will graduate in May 2013 with a juris doctorate. She is currently employed at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health/Centers for Disease Control, Morgantown, W.Va.
Michael is the son of Charlie and Beverly Shahan, Mountain Lake Park, and the grandson of Joanne Shahan, Mountain Lake Park. Michael is a 2000 graduate of Southern High School and graduated from West Virginia University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. In 2008, he graduated from WVU with a master’s in mechanical engineering. He is currently employed at NewPage Corp. in Luke.
An August 2013 wedding is being planned and invitations will be sent.
