MOUNT SAVAGE — Together with their families, Mindy Lynn Shockey and Michael Edward Brailer Jr. are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Mindy is the daughter of Terry L. Shockey and Gary E. Shockey of Mount Savage. She is the granddaughter of Jerry F. and Marlyn J. O’Baker and Violet J. Shockey and the late Rev. Edward E. Shockey.
The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Mount Savage High School’s last graduating class. She received an associate’s degree in early childhood education from Allegany College of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Frostburg State University and is now employed at HRDC’s Early Head Start program.
Michael is the son of Michael E. Brailer Sr. and Tamela A. Cadwell. He is the grandson of Gary A. Hite Sr. and the late Ruth A. Hite and the late Mary Jo Brailer and Francis J. Brailer.
The groom-to-be graduated in 1997 from Mount Savage High School and received a bachelor’s degree in political science and justice studies from Frostburg State University and is currently employed at Family Heritage Life Insurance Company.
The couple feels truly blessed to have found each other and are looking forward to their special day.
Mindy and Michael will be exchanging vows in August of this year at the LaVale United Methodist Church. Formal invitations are being sent.
