KEYSER, W.Va. — Ms. Caryl Becker of Keyser announces the engagement of her daughter, Alison Lynn Becker, to Ryan Elliot Culhane, son of Kimberly and Gary Jones of Fairview, W.Va. Miss Becker is also the daughter of the late Eugene Becker of Keyser.
The future bride graduated from Keyser High School in 1997 and then attended West Virginia University, earning bachelor’s and master’s of arts degrees in early childhood development. She is currently employed at Comfort Dental in Fairmont.
The future groom is a 1995 graduate of North Marion High School. He later received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and a master’s of business administration degree, both from West Virginia University. He is a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and previously served 14 years with the United States Army Reserve. He is employed as director of service operations at GE for the tri-state region.
The couple recently visited Key West, Fla., with a surprise sunset proposal on New Year’s Eve. They later celebrated with a West Virginia University Orange Bowl victory in Miami.
An August 2012 wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico, is planned, along with a honeymoon to Bora Bora, French Polynesia.
The couple resides in Bridgeport with their two dogs Kiko and Nilla.
