ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Taylor Poling and Alan Fairley, along with their families, are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Taylor is the daughter of Nancy and Leonard Kupersmith of Greenville, S.C., and Terry and Mary Ann Poling of Wichita, Kan.
Alan is the son of Anita Fairley of Rawlings and the late Richard Fairley.
Taylor is a native of Wichita and received her doctorate in industrial organizational psychology from the University of Tennessee. She currently serves as the principal research scientist for a program within the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Alan is a graduate of Fort Hill High School and Frostburg State University. He currently serves as a captain in the Marine Corps, with multiple deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and Haiti. He now works in Alexandria overseeing recruitment marketing efforts on behalf of the Department of Defense.
Taylor is a competitive triathlete and both she and Alan spend most of their free time outdoors camping, running, swimming and biking. They also enjoy traveling and living life to its fullest.
The wedding will take place in September in Kansas City.
