CUMBERLAND — Allen and Rebecca Boyd of Cumberland are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Rachel Rebecca, to Lance Cpl. Phillip Stephan Jackson of Pinson, Ala. Jackson is the son of Dennis and Donella Jackson of Hayden, Ala., and David and Dana Templeton of Pinson.
The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Fort Hill High School and is attending Towson University, majoring in deaf studies. She will transfer to East Carolina in the fall to pursue her degree.
The groom-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Pinson Valley High School and is in the United States Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
The wedding ceremony will take place June 20, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the St. Regis Resort, North Topsail Beach, N.C., with Jonathan Snoots officiating. Friends and family are welcome to attend this blessed event. A reception will be held at a later date when Phillip returns from his deployment.
