CUMBERLAND — Together with their parents, Denise Alana Meade and Benjamin Wilder Cervantes are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Denise is the daughter of Isaac Allen Meade and Shelby Kyle Meade, Cumberland, and the granddaughter of Mary Meade and the late Ike Hall and Norma Evans and the late Edward Evans Sr. of Cumberland.
Denise is a 2003 graduate of Fort Hill High School and graduated from University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation services and in 2010 with a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling. She is currently enrolled at UMES and will graduate in May 2015 with her doctor of philosophy in organizational leadership. She is currently employed with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at the Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Va.
Benjamin is the son of Angela Wilder of the Karuk Tribe, Hoopa Valley, California, and Martin Cervantes, National City, Calif., and the grandson of Vickie Challendar, McKinleyville, Calif., and the late Kenneth Wilder, Hoopa Valley, Ca., and the late Lupe and Brigido Cervantes, National City.
Benjamin is a 1999 graduate of Hoopa Valley High School and graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering. He is currently employed with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at the Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island.
The couple is planning a January 2013 wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica. A Labor Day weekend wedding reception is being planned and formal invitations will be sent.
The couple will reside in Ocean Pines.
