LAVALE — Along with their parents, Miss Kristen Leigh Halpern and Mr. Matthew Russell Morgan are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Kristen is the daughter of Mark and Veronica Halpern of LaVale. She is the granddaughter of Robert and Lavon Halpern of White Oak, Pa. Kristen is a 2001 graduate of Allegany High School and a 2005 graduate of Frostburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in international studies. She is currently employed by Global Knowledge, where she works as corporate sales consultant specializing in IT, project management and business training. She is also active with the Susan G. Komen organization in Raleigh, N.C.
Matt is the son of Gene and Paula Morgan of Frostburg. He is the grandson of Berl and Wilda Plummer and Raymond Morgan both of Frostburg. Matt is 2002 graduate of Beall High School and is currently working within the North Carolina education system to complete his bachelor’s degree in early elementary education after transferring from Frostburg State University. He is currently employed by Express as an operational manager and sales associate.
The couple will exchange vows in a double ring ceremony held in their current hometown of Cary, N.C., on Nov. 7, 2009.
