HYNDMAN, Pa. — Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Litten of Hyndman are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Jean Litten, to Ashby William Ruddle, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ruddle of Franklin, W.Va. Sara is the granddaughter of Wayne A. Shaffer of Schellsburg, the late June E. Shaffer of Hyndman and the late Henderson and Frances Litten of McCoole, Md.
Ashby is the grandson of the late Virgil and Evelyn Warner of Franklin,W.Va., and Kathryn Ruddle and the late Reed Ruddle of Franklin.
Sara is a graduate of Hyndman High School, Allegany College of Maryland, and Frostburg State University. She is employed by the Western Maryland Health System as a registered nurse care manager.
Ashby is a graduate of Pendleton County High School and West Virginia University and is employed by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture as an environmental specialist.
A May wedding is planned and invitations have been sent.
