Project YES students from Fort Hill, Allegany, Mountain Ridge and the Career Center, along with the four YES coordinators, took a fieldtrip to Gettysburg, Pa., and had an opportunity to visit the Battlefield Museum and the Cyclorama, eat lunch at General Picketts Buffet, and take an educational Eerie Legends walking tour. Among the 45 participating students were: Fort Hill — Amber Ketterman, Alisa Platt, Haley Jay, William Davis, Dunel Petit-Frer, James Herbert, C.J. Gilmore, Donny Jay, Kristen Fetters, Shyanna Mongold, Mitchell Swick, Bryce Jankey, Kelsey Stoner and Kaitlin Meredith. Allegany — Kaitlyn Click, Natea Green, Tesia Fagan, Brandon Rockwell, Hogan Moody, Kyle Iman and Samantha Shrout. Mountain Ridge — Garth Poling, Nathan Rosenberger, Jeremiah Hans, Megan Nolan, Kaitlyn Conner, Regina Hitt, Thomas Heffner, Courtney Horner, Tiffany Kennell and Allison Perdew. Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College confers 104 diplomas
MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Ninety individual graduates reaped the rewards of their months and years of college study at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College’s third annual commencement May 5. Held at the Moorefield Middle School for spring 2012 and fall 2011 graduates the ceremony conferred a record 104 diplomas total.
Keynote speaker Michael Simmons suggested that at this “pivot point in life,” the graduates should decide between a “path of certainty,” and “a path of faith.” -
