Allegany/Mineral Counties Crime Solvers maintains a hotline and pays cash rewards for information leading to the resolution of criminal activity in the two counties.
The program is totally anonymous and it is through this confidentiality that allows the program to be successful.
Since the inception of Crime Solvers in 1981, we have been directly responsible for resolving over 1,400 felony cases, recovery of approximately $900,00 in property, and the arrest of over 100 criminal offenders.
Needless to say, all of this has served to enhance public safety and the quality of life for our citizens.
We are an all volunteer, non-profit 501 C(3) organization. We do not receive any public funding and rely upon contributions from local businesses and the private sector for reward funds.
Crime Solvers has paid over $50,000 in rewards of $100 to $1,500, dependent upon the value and results of tip information.
It is only through the generous support of the public that we can continue this vital program.
All contributions go directly to the Crime Reward Fund. There are no administrative costs except those associated with our fundraisers.

According to the FBI’s uniform crime reports, California had the highest number of gun murders in 2011 with 1,220, which makes up 68 percent of all murders in the state that year and equates to 3.25 murders per 100,000 people.
