I have a suggestion for the Republican Party: Since the Tea Party has made it clear that they will oppose and try to “knock off” any reasonable Republicans who are capable of supporting reasonable tax adjustments, and timely response to natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy, why not just throw the Tea Party bums out?
Refuse to admit them to the party caucus. Force them to form their own political party. Treat them as they wish to be treated. Traditional Republicans who are conservative but not completely berserk should rid their party of these political maniacs. Make them stand alone as they want to. Make them compete on the political scale as a true independent party.
