A memorial service was held in the Mountain Lake Independent Baptist Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

FRIENDSVILLE — Harry Newton Savage, 81, of Friendsville, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery.

CUMBERLAND — Albert T. Rice Jr., 86, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Interment will be held in Sunset Memorial Park.

CARPENDALE, W.Va.— Doris J. Lewis, 79, of Carpendale, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.
At her request, her body will be cremated.
A memorial service will be conducted in the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Inurnment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, Flintstone.

DAYTON, Va. — Burrell Nelson, 82, of Dayton, formerly of Riverton, W.Va., died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Basagic Funeral Home, Franklin, W.Va.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Interment will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton.

FRANKLIN, W.Va. — Nellie Margaret Payne, 88, of Franklin, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012.
Per Mrs. Payne's request, her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Pendleton Manor.
Burial will be in Arbovale Cemetery, Arbovale.
