Providing some aid for relief work in Haiti

From Staff Reports

Pat Steckman, left, from The Kensington presents a donation of $744 for relief work in Haiti to Emergency Services Director Mike Wilhelm of the local Red Cross chapter Thursday morning. Pictured to Wilhelm’s left are residents Billee Blough and Rosanne Bernstein and staff member Bonnie Warnick. The funds were collected from residents and staff after seeing the devastation in Haiti caused by the recent earthquake through the images of the Haitian people, especially the children. Braddock Middle School, with help from students, faculty and school staff, also made a donation of $369.93 that was raised from the fourth annual charity art auction at the school. Currently the donations collected by the local Red Cross for Haiti is about $3,000.
