February 27, 2010 — BUFFALO, N.Y. — Maggie Dalton hit a 3-pointer and seventh-seeded Bradford went 7-for-8 from the foul line in the final 30 seconds to upset third-seeded Frostburg State, 62-59, in the semifinals of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference women’s basketball tournament Friday afternoon.
Danielle Zeamer scored 19 points, Hollie Rapp had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Dalton 10 points for the Panthers (11-16), who had knocked off second-seeded Pitt-Greensburg in the opening round. They face top-seed Medaille today in the championship game.
Frostburg State senior Caryn Wright scored 16 points, including the 1,000th of her career, and grabbed 11 rebounds. Brittany James added 17 points and 11 rebounds and Elizabeth Carrington had 13 points.
Pitt-Bradford led 24-20 at halftime, and increased it to 31-24 but the Bobcats roared back with a 14-2 spurt to take a 38-33 lead.
Frostburg State (19-8) was clinging to a 53-52 lead when Pitt-Bradford struck for 10 points in the final 36 seconds. Dalton hit the 3-pointer with 36 seconds to go, and the Panthers went 7-for-8 from the foul line the rest of the way.

Medaille 88, Frostburg State 65
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Top-seeded Medaille scored 16 straight points midway through a dominating second half that carried the Mavericks to a win over fourth-seeded Frostburg State in the semifinals of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference men’s basketball tournament Friday evening.
The 16-point run turned a 2-point lead into a 14-point deficit for Frostburg State (17-9). The closest the Bobcats could get the rest of the way was 64-56.
Medaille (22-4) led 35-32 at halftime, and outscored Frostburg State 53-33 over the final 20 minutes.
Ron Malicki had 20 points and seven rebounds and Keith Hack 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Mavericks, who were 30-for-39 from the foul line.
Steven Ogg had 19 points, with 15 in the second half, for Frostburg State. Busha Koff had 15 points and nine rebounds and Nick Sefcik nine points on three 3-point goals. The Bobcats shot just 39 percent (26-for-66) and were also whistled for 28 fouls compared to 12 for Medaille.
