CUMBERLAND — Prospective bank tellers looking for an edge on the competition and current tellers looking to sharpen their skills and increase chances for promotion can take advantage of a new continuing education course being made available by Allegany College of Maryland.
Achieving Teller Excellence teaches knowledge, skills and attitude that can help current tellers move up and prospective tellers put their best foot forward with internationally recognized Banker’s Academy Teller Certification behind them.
The comprehensive program prepares students to interact well with customers, complete transactions quickly and correctly and follow compliance and security procedures to protect the bank, its employees and customers.
The e-learning course, accessible anywhere and anytime with an Internet-equipped personal computer, uses sound, video and animation to make learning challenging and entertaining, all supported by online help and support staff.
According to EdComm Group Banker’s Academy, a partner with ACM’s Center for Continuing Education, course-completers have advanced to other positions in the banking industry, including as officers, supervisors and managers.
The academy’s partnership with the center’s Professional Development area is making Achieving Teller Excellence available at a substantial discount.
