ACCIDENT — Adria Graham scored five goals and Kaitlynn Fratz had four as Northern cruised over Bishop Walsh in high school girls soccer action Monday evening at Northern High School.
Graham also assisted on four goals and Fratz aided two.
The Huskies (4-1) led 4-0 at halftime and put the game out of reach with seven second half goals.
Graham scored three of the first half goals, the first two on assists by Fratz at 25:30 and 21:17. Kaitlyn Walker scored at 16:02 on a header off of a Graham corner kick. Graham, at 3:49, put it in off a Jenny Shaffer assist.
In the second half, it was all Graham and Fratz. Fratz scored four goals, two assisted by Graham and the other two assisted by Sydney McFarland and Megan Wiley.
Graham scored twice on assists from McFarland and Morgan Brosnihan. Kara Savage, on an assist by McFarland, had the seventh goal of the half and 11th of the game.
Bishop Walsh’s goal came from Erin McGee off of a free kick assist by Morgan Evans at the 26:00 mark.
Northern had 20 shots on goal to Bishop Walsh’s seven and led 6-0 in corner kicks.
The Huskies Justine Harvey made six saves. The Spartans made nine stops.
Northern also won the jayvee game, 9-0. Whitney Murphy and Tara Goff had two goals each while Kareena Deniker, Rose Mary Rosser, Haley Margroff, Jocelyn Williams and Cara Stough each had a goal.
Northern visits Frankfort Thursday and Bishop Walsh (3-5) visits St. Maria Goretti Wednesday.
