FREDERICK — New Life Christian Academy scored the first four goals of the evening and sent Calvary to its third straight loss, 5-2, in boys high school soccer action Tuesday in Frederick.
Brent Zerbe scored the first goals unassisted, and Tim Wilson finished the first half with one goal and one assist. Brian Roynstod and Carson Thomas also scored.
The Eagles scored in the 32nd minute on Jordan Sagal’s goal. Sagal would score the other Calvary goal in the second half.
Ryan Conners scored New Life’s second half goal.
The two teams were almost even in shots taken as Calvary took 11 and New Life attempted 10. The Eagles’ goalie Seth Wilson finished with two saves, and Cody Hamrock had four for New Life.
Calvary slips to 1-3 overall and in the Mason-Dixon Christian Conference. It will host Frankfort on Saturday at 1 p.m.
