Berkeley defeats Keyser

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Berkeley Springs defeated Keyser, 72-50, Tuesday at Berkeley Springs, the most points Keyser’s allowed in a game in four years.

Berkeley got started with 14 first quarter points to give it a seven-point lead. That turned into 40 first half points and a 12-point lead at the break.

Keyser never got back into the game as Berkeley scored 16 in each of the next two quarters to pull away.

Sam Hoban scored 20 points. Carly Grady and Lexi Carr each had 10.

Sarah Haynes rained in 32 for the Indians. Lauren Schetrompf had 12 and Casandra Burch added 11.

In the jayvee game, Keyser won 56-32 led by Katlynn Tichnell’s 18 points and 12 from Kayla Simon.

Keyser (8-5) plays at Allegany tonight at 7:30 p.m.
