COLLEGE PARK — The Dunbar Poets defeated the Allegany Campers, 67-56, in one semifinal of the Maryland Class 1A state tournament Friday afternoon at Comcast Center at the University of Maryland.
Baltimore’s Poets (18-5) will now play the winner of today’s 5 p.m. semifinal game between Snow Hill and Owings Mills and will be gunning for their 12th state championship. Allegany, the Times-News Area, AMAC, City and West Region champion, finishes the season at 23-1.
