BEL AIR — Hite Roofing scored five in the second, two in the third and unloaded for seven runs in the fourth inning on its way to a victory over Casselman Valley Monday at Bel Air Field.
John Taylor tripled, doubled and singled for Hite Roofing, knocking in five runs. Cody Jefferys also tripled, doubled and singled to knock in a run. Cameron Brown and Ricky Kaiser both tripled and singled, with Brown knocking in two runs. Hite knocked out 20 hits in the game, with David Smith tripling twice and singling, Shane Malloy singling three times, Scott Rice hitting a double and a single and Trevor Korns singling twice.
For Casselman Valley, Teddy Linton tripled, doubled twice and singled twice. Andy Umbel hit two doubles, and Ryan Vogt doubled once.
Hite Roofing (5-3-1) will play Chessie Wednesday at Bel Air Field. Casselman Valley (6-4) will also play Wednesday, taking on WEPCO in Westernport.

Fort Ashby VFW 1
POTOMAC PARK — WEPCO Federal Credit Union got a pair of one-run singles in the bottom of the first inning, and it was all the offense it would need to squeeze out a victory over Fort Ashby VFW Monday evening at Hamilton Field.
Jordan Dye and Jeremy Shingler provided the offense in the first inning with the RBI base hits. WEPCO would scored it’s third run in the fourth.
Fort Ashby remained off the scoreboard until getting its only run in the seventh inning. Corey Patterson drove in the run with a double, but was stranded on second when the final out was made.
Bill Freeman added a couple of singles for WEPCO, and Colton Jones got a double for VFW.
WEPCO improves to 9-1 and takes to the field again on Wednesday when it plays at home tonight against Casselman Valley. FOrt Ashby (3-10) also plays Casselman Valley next, but on Monday at Frankfort.
Sweitzer, Simson 10

SALISBURY, Pa. — Andrew Sisler hit a two-run home run, and added two singles to lead a 17-hit attack in Sweitzer, Simson and Associates’ win over Casselman Valley on Friday evening.
Sisler’s shot in the second inning pushed the score to 6-0, and he added an RBI on a single in the third. Reese Duncan, Corey Helbig and Jeremy Sharpless all had three hits with Duncan getting a double and two singles. Helbig and Sharpless both collected three singles.
Sweitzer got a fast start by scoring four runs in the first. Sisler’s home run accounted for both second-inning runs, and the final four runs were scored in the third inning of the shortened contest.
Nathan King and Sharpless combined to hold Casselman to two singles.
Sweitzer, Simson and Associates was scheduled to play last night against Mount Savage. It is not scheduled to play for the remainder of the week. Casselman Valley lost to Hite Roofing on Monday and will play on Wednesday when it plays WEPCO FCU in Westernport.

Chessie FCU 7
CUMBERLAND — Trailing 7-5 in the sixth inning, the Times-News scored four runs on two errors, two walks and a single by Jacob Foreman to come away with a Rec League victory over Chessie Federal Credit Union Friday at Allegany College of Maryland.
Chessie threatened in the top of seventh as Josh Smearman led off with a single and went to second on a passed ball. Times-News leftfielder Aaron O’Rourke, however, made an outstanding overhead catch on a flyball by Sean Nolan for the second out and Foreman struck out the last batter for the final out. Foreman struck out three batters in his two innings of relief work to gain the win.
Tristan Beyer had a double and two singles for the Times-News, and Foreman finished with two singles. Josh Jenkins and Josh Neilson both doubled and singled for Chessie, which outhit the Times-News, 11-9. Sean Fazenbaker and Matt Farris both doubled, and Logan Harden had a pair of singles.
