Rosenberger HR lifts Northside, 5-4

ACCIDENT  — Kyle Rosenberger hit a walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to propel the Northside Diamond Dogs to a 5-4 win over Frank Arnold Construction Thursday at Northern High School.

Frank Arnold took a 3-0 lead in the top of first. Northside scored a run in the third but Frank Arnold got it back in the fifth. In the bottom of the seventh, Pat Sines and Cody Rodeheaver had base hits to set the table for Rosenberger’s three-run blast.

Danny Sislo hit two singles for Frank Arnold.

Northside is 10-4-1 and plays WEPCO on Monday in Westernport.

LAVALE — Evan Logue allowed one run on three hits and struck out 10 in a complete game to lead Barrelville ODC over Personal Best Thursday at Femi Field.

Barrelville scored all of its runs in a huge second inning. It was led at the plate by Trent Schrock who hit three singles and drove in two. Logue hit a double and a single. Cody Sidney and Ryan Tipton each added two RBIs on two singles.

Personal Best’s three hits came on an RBI single by Brent Parrish and singles from Austin Henson and Branson Beaver.

Barrelville ODC (6-6) plays at Salisbury against Casselman Valley and Personal Best play Moose both on Monday.

BEL AIR — The Moose got four consecutive two out singles in the top of the seventh inning to score three runs during a win over Hite Roofing Thursday at Bel Air Field.

With the bases loaded and two outs, Colton Mathews, Zac Steckman, Vinny Foreman and Eli Souders all came through with singles to break a 2-2 tie. Nate Souders held Hite Roofing scoreless in the bottom of the seventh to preserve the victory.

For Moose, Foreman finished with a double and a single and Souders with two singles. Steckman added two runs scored.

Hite’s Devin Storey had two of his team’s six hits with a pair of singles.

The Moose (6-7) play again Monday against Personal Best at Femi Field. Hite plays Fort Ashby at home on Monday.
