CRESAPTOWN — Dylan Redinger had two RBIs on two hits for WEPCO Federal Credit Union as they defeated the North End Diamond Dogs, 8-4, in Game One of the Rec League Championship Series on Monday at Holler Field.
WEPCO did their damage early on, scoring seven of their eight runs in innings two through four. North End attempted to rally with three runs in the sixth, but was shut down in the seventh.
Adam Stowell knocked a two-run single and Hunter Broadwater chipped in an RBI single. Cody Malone raked a double for WEPCO.
Jared Fike drove in two runs on a single, Nick Mast stroked a double and Cody Rodeheaver added two singles for North End.
WEPCO will try to win the championship in Game Two of the finals on Wednesday, 5:30, at Holler Field.
