Salisbury falls to NBC

SALISBURY, Pa. — Salisbury held a slim 2-1 lead through the first three innings, but Northern Bedford scored nine times over the last four innings to pull away and beat the Elks, 10-2, in the PIAA District II-AA Playoffs Thursday in Salisbury.

Jake Stern finished 3-for-5 with two runs batted in, and Clay Dodson added a double and a single to drive in two and score three times.

For Salisbury, Matt McKenzie tied the score at 1-1 when he homered leading off the bottom of the first inning. Ryan Vogt added a double and scored a run, and Ryan Miller got a fielder’s choice RBI.

Matt Snyder allowed four hits, no walks and struck out four to get a complete-game win.

Northern Bedford improves to 13-7 after the win, and Salisbury finishes the season at 13-5.
