CUMBERLAND — The Allegany College of Maryland Trojans, ranked No. 8 in the NJCAA Division II national baseball poll, will play host to Burlington, N.J., in the best-of-three Northeast District Tournament Friday at The Rock.
Friday’s first game begins at noon, with the second game following at 3 p.m. Should a third game be necessary it will be played Saturday at noon at The Rock. The winner of the tournament advances to the Division II World Series in Enid, Okla.
Burlington is 39-18 and won the Region XIX tournament as the third seed with a victory over Lackawanna on Monday. Allegany is 45-13, having won the Region XX title on Sunday with a 7-6 victory over Essex.
