PSC gets first win
Potomac State 8, CC Morris 7
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Potomac State College got its first win of the season Monday by defeating County College Morris of Randolph, N.J., in the Snowbird Classic held in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Potomac State scored four runs in the first, but would have to rally after Morris had five cross the plate in the second. After tying the game in its half of the second, PSC would take the lead for good with two runs in the third.
Brittany Wright had two singles and two RBIs. Lisa Berry and Shelia Armel each had RBI doubles.
Jenn Powers had three singles for Morris.
Potomac State (1-3) will be in action twice today as it takes on Genesee of Batavia, N.Y. at 9:30 a.m. and then Massassoit of Brockton, Mass., at 11:30 a.m.
