From Staff Reports

POTOMAC PARK — Cork’s Cars used a six-run fourth to ice the five-inning victory, and Ryan Bennett and Dylan Bennett combined on a one-hitter, taking Cork’s to a 10-0 win and a series tie with Madigan’s Auto in the second round of Hot Stove League playoff action Thursday at Hamilton Field.

Danny Sislo and Cody Myers both tripled and singled for Cork’s, while Ryan Bennett had two singles. Cork’s stole eight bases in the game.

The Bennetts benefitted from an errorlesss defensive performance by Cork’s, with the only Madigan’s baserunners being Shane Peck, who singled in the fourth, and Nathaniel Longest, who drew a walk in the fifth. Ryan Bennett worked the first four innings, before giving way to Dylan in the fourth.

The third and deciding game of the series will likely be played Saturday at a site and time yet to be determined.
