BEL AIR — Both teams had a five-run inning, but Hite Roofing had four single-run innings to spell the difference in its 9-5 Rec League victory over Chessie Federal Credit Union Wednesday at Bel Air Field.
Cameron Brown, Cody Jefferys and Scott Rice all doubled and singled twice for Hite, with Brown and Rice both knocking in a run. Shane Malloy had two singles and an RBI, and John Taylor had two singles and three RBI. Seth Thompson also knocked in a run with a single.
For Chessie, Sean Nolan and Pat Livingston both tripled and knocked in two runs. Sean Fazenbaker doubled.
David Smith pitched into the sixth inning for Hite to gain the win, with Taylor coming into the game in the sixth to close it down and secure the win.
Hite Roofing (6-3-1) will play Personal Best Friday at Allegany High School. Chessie will play Wepco at Westernport on Monday.

MOUNT SAVAGE — Jacob Foreman started and went six innings and along with Tristen Beyer combined for eight strikeouts, giving up just four hits to lead the Times-News over Barrelville Outdoor Club Wednesday at Dickel Field.
Foreman and Eddie Szymanski both doubled for the Times-News, while Zach Ward had two singles.
Nick Logue singled twice for Barrelville, while Sam Crowell and Tyler Hetrick both singled for their team’s four hits. Chris Martin started and went the first five for ODC before being relieved in the sixth by Garrett Dickel. The two pitchers also combined for eight strikeouts.
The Times-News (4-4-1) will play Wepco Friday at Allegany College of Maryland.

Casselman Valley 5
WESTERNPORT — Jeremy Shingler drove in four runs highlighted by a two-run home run to help WEPCO Federal Credit Union defeat Casselman Valley Wednesday evening in Rec League baseball.
Shingler’s blast came in a three-run third inning that broke a 3-3 tie. He also had a two-run double in the first inning. Three players — Daniel Warnick drove in two runs, Adam Stowell had an RBI and Bill Freeman had an RBI — had two base hits apiece.
Casselman Valley was led by Ted Linton’s three base hits. Ryan Vogt singled, doubled and had two RBIs. Richard Vogt had two hits including a triple, Alex Smith had an RBI single and Andy Umbel had two doubles and an RBI.
Ryan Reddinger had nine strike outs in six innings for WEPCO and Ryan Vogt struck out eight for Casselman Valley.
WEPCO (10-1) plays the Times-News at Allegany College of Maryland Friday. Casselman Valley visits Fort Ashby VFW at Frankfort on Monday.

KMK Insurance 4
CUMBERLAND — Sweitzer, Simson & Associates scored three unearned runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat KMK Insurance Wednesday evening at Allegany High School.
Sweitzer, Simson & Associates was held to four hits, but starting pitcher Nathan King struck out 11 and allowed just two walks while scattering seven KMK hits. Reese Duncan scored three of SS&A;’s runs off a base hit, two walks and he was hit by a pitch.
Chandler Tomlinson had three of KMK’s seven hits with a double and two base hits. He also drove in three runs.
Sweitzer, Simson and Associates (4-4-2) hosts WEPCO FCU Wednesday at Southern High School.
