Rachel F. Guthrie [Bayard]

BAYARD, W.Va. — Rachel Fay Guthrie, 59, of Bayard, W.Va., died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at her residence.

Born April 28, 1950, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Ray Sr. and Betty Fulk of Bayard.

Rachel worked for the West Virginia State Park, Department of Natural Resources, and retired as a cashier at Black Water Falls State Park Trading Post in Davis, W.Va. She attended the Church of God in Bayard, W.Va. She was a member of the first graduating class of Union High School.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Robert Guthrie Jr.; one brother, Ray Fulk Jr. and wife Peg, of Bayard; two sisters, Regina Marple and husband Richard, of Gorman, and Rhonda Wolfe and husband Jeff, of Mount Storm; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, 21 N. Second St., Oakland, on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. William McCallister officiating.

Interment will be in Bayard Cemetery.
